This is a repaire attempt of my crappy bench power supply that is not working any more for some reason, i have never opened similar devices so this is more of a lesson to me so i learn along…

  1. There is often a thermal fuse under the cardboard/tape of the transformer, overloading causes this, the diodes i would have checked, they can cause problem too.
    Please remember the thermal fuse for future repairs, cost less for fuse 🙂

  2. Having watched your video to the end I am sorry that the transformer appears defective. To be completely sure maybe it would have been worth checking the voltages on the secondary windings with the power connected and the device switched on. I hope that you have found a replacement transformer or bench power supply by now. Good luck with your electronics studies!
